Outdoor Ceremonies

From 1st July 2021

Update on outdoor ceremonies

In certain circumstances, civil ceremonies can now take place outside.  Please note that this change only applies the outdoor areas of venues which already hold a licence to conduct marriages and civil partnerships.  The gov.uk web site gives more details.

If you have a ceremony booked at one of our venues, please contact the venue directly to discuss what options may be possible. 

If you wish to contact our Ceremonies Team please email them at ceremonies@buckinghamshire.gov.uk and include a contact number and details of your enquiry.

Outdoor ceremonies can take place between the 1st March and 31st October.

Please do remember, the weather does have its part to play on the day; so whilst we can all plan to be outside, arrangements would also need to be made to hold the ceremony indoors as a contingency. The Registrar will make the final decision on whether the ceremony can take place outside. Drones are not permitted during the ceremony
